Being a dad is a big responsibility to his family. Kids see him as the ultimate superhero in their life and that they would always believe that a one true dad can do anything. A dad was believed to be the great provider in the house, he works a lot and gives physical and emotional support to his wife. But, how do we measure the greatness of being a dad? Well, in this article, I will just specify at least 7 signs that you are an amazing dad to your kids.
1. A lot of patience
Yes, this might be one of the hardest virtue that a parent could practice to his entire life. Being patient to your kid all the time could create big influence to their emotional and social skills. Kids playing with their parent, mother or father can boost personal confidence. But how to keep this patience all the time? Well, if you’re a parent, it is part of our role to know about the abc of handling kids and their tantrums. By reading a lot of articles or books about them could help give us great ideas on how extend our patience intended for our kids. In the end, what matter is on how you practice it.
2. Can do dirty jobs
Showing your kids that you could do all household chores is a great way of showing how awesome dad you are but it would be more fun if your kids can see you in some of the dirty works like cleaning clogged kitchen sink, bathrooms or even doing a repair or little constructions in the house. This little job could greatly introduce to them that a daddy is a strong and reliable person at home. This will sinking in their entire childhood life.
3. Listens all the time
Let’s face it, kids are sometimes annoying especially if we are not in the mood to attend to them. But have we ever wondered why kids are keep asking questions? May be because they know that we can give brief answers to their curiousness, right? But, have you ever observe that after aswering those questions there may be a little sharings they say to you? Did you observe that? That’s listening! By doing that, you are already creating an amazing communications between you and your kid. It will become good flow of interaction from you and your kids. They talk, you listen. They share and give them great advise.
4. Disciplines
In psychology, disciplining a child is one way of showing that we care about their upbringing. We don’t want them to practice unacceptable values that are not part of our principles as a parent. This practice is very effective to stop unlikable behavior or attitude in the house or in the community. As a dad also, we know what is enough and right. In other words, showing them with this kind of practice can teach them about being a responsible individual and showing cares to others as well.
5. Has words
Promises are real but when we do it to our kids just be sure that it will happen. Kids always like a reward specially when they have done their certain simple task at school or at home. They do it because they want to be rewarded. And almost all the time, they are asking about it. Simple happiness like, simple toys, food, ice cream, strolling, etc. But when we say yes to them, don’t break it because they will expect it as soon as possible. Just give it, okay?
6. Has time to play
Whether we have a tiring and toxic day, giving just a little time to play to our kids can create emotional support. As mentioned that this bonding can boost confidence to them because they would know they have been given time by their super dad even if they observed that you are busy. They will value the time you have spent with them.
7. Acknowledges God
As dad, one major role is to show how are we spiritually. Our belief to God will teach them about the essence of our existence within the community. Through this, we can inspire our kid to pray a lot and believe in the power faith.
